Eurozone crisis: how will it affect the rest of the world?
With the Western World seemingly stuck in permafrost and the Eurozone facing a sovereign crisis, is there any hope for the global economy? Stephen King, Chief Economist at HSBC and author of ‘Losing Control: The Emerging Threats to Western Prosperity’, argues that the West’s difficulties reflect a failure to understand fully the effects on the global economy of the rise of the emerging nations.
Taimur Ahmad, Editor of Emerging Markets magazine, will chair the event. He and Stephen King will be joined by Athar Hussain, Director, Asia Research Centre, London School of Economics, for a discussion on Stephen’s arguments.
Stephen King will do a book signing at the event.
Date: October 11, 2011
The venue will be the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association room in Westminster Hall in the House of Parliament and the event starts at 6.30.
Please allow at least 30 minutes to pass through security.
