Sharing Discussing Understanding

Commonwealth Journalists' Association

Journalists in Commonwealth countries have much in common but their circumstances vary. In many countries the media lacks resources, comes under pressure from government, commercial interests and criminals.

The Commonwealth Journalists Association is headquartered in Ontario, Canada. It has branches in some Commonwealth countries, and members in all. Rita Payne, who heads the UK branch and was formerly Asia Editor for BBC World TV, is CJA President.
